MunichFlu - Recruitment - Information

Dear participants!

A warm welcome – we are delighted that we have sparked your interest.

This questionnaire serves as a recruitment questionnaire for the MunichFlu study, conducted by the First Department of Internal Medicine (Cardiology) at LMU Medical Centre, Munich.

The aim of the study is to investigate the so-called ‘Wiesn flu’ – a condition that is well known but has received little or no scientific analysis – in greater detail and to identify possible risk factors. You will receive a second questionnaire after the Oktoberfest containing specific questions about your visit and any infections you may have contracted.

Participation in the survey is voluntary and your responses will be pseudonymised.
Please read through the individual questions carefully and try to provide as accurate information as possible. If you are unsure about a question, please select the answer option that you feel best applies.

Invitation to undergo pathogen testing – for people living in and around Munich only

Detection of pathogens

If you develop cold or flu-like symptoms after visiting the Oktoberfest, we invite you to come to our clinic for a swab test to identify the cause.
